These images above give a rough idea of the types of surroundings Florence would be experiencing. With photography not being very advanced at this point, its hard to know exactly what things would have looked like, but we can get a basic picture. As we can see, some photos show the hospitals which she worked at and they look extremely bare but very cramped. We can also see what the soldiers would have looked like which will come in handy when adding in background characters, and the outside view of the buildings gives a good indication if the structural trends at the time.
