One day project No2

 For the 2nd one week project, i was challenged with creating artwork inspired by songs. I chose three of my own songs and three off of the pre selected playlist that was compiled for us. I decided to use only indian ink and fineliner for my first designs as this was available to me at the time plus allowed me to expand on my media choices after typically working digitally. The first set of illustrations were quick responses to the music as i listened, thinking about the emotions and movement of the music.

When refining my ideas, i decided to go back to working digitally and i created these collages. I scanned in a few of my ink patters from the inital image making, using these as backgrounds and then i added in hand written typography and drawn elements aswell as photos in order to merge illustration with realism. Im really really pleased with how these came out- i had so much fun making them and this style is definitely something that i want to delve into more in the future.
